Do you know the scene in ‘My Fair Lady’ where Eliza Doolittle dances with Henry Higgins and then is so overcome with joy that she spontaneously bursts into song? That’s how I felt after my dinner with Ruth Reichl.
I’ll write more details later this week, but the super-short version is that I sat next to her at dinner! Ruth was warm, funny and incredibly eloquent.
I realize I’ve taken a detour lately from my normal blog topics. Stay tuned. Once I finish gushing about Ruth, there will be posts on ‘Family Man Fried Chicken’ and ‘CSI: Cake Scene Investigation.’
Until then . . .
‘I could have danced all night, I could have danced all night, and still have begged for more. I could have spread my wings and done a thousand things I’ve never done before.’ You get the point.
