Once you drive past the many, many strip malls in South Jersey you’ll find various farms offering a cornucopia of fresh fruits and vegetables. In the summer months, it’s easy to eat local. Just look for the ‘farm fresh’ sticker on foods. Within walking distance of our house is a farm stand featuring local produce. Photos below are from a recent visit.
Just recently, I sang the praises of NJ farms to Jeff Jaffe, a burger club member. I told him about peach picking and cranberry bogs, rows upon rows of corn fields and soybean plants; blueberries that taste like candied sunlight.
If you haven’t been fruit/vegetable picking lately, I highly recommend it. Apple season is coming soon. Don’t miss it.

Everything looks so good, we might have to consider moving to Jersey!
