A little over a month ago, Kevin and I attended the Summer Fancy Food Show sponsored by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT). It had over 2000 exhibitors and took us 5 hours to eat our way through.
Lessons Learned:
–With so many different foods to taste, it is important to pace yourself! I had big plans but a full stomach. However, between the two of us we managed to taste just about everything (including the tequila samples — thanks Mexico!).
–I need to do a better job of eating similar foods together. I went from olives to ice cream without a palate cleanser in between.
–Telling myself that walking the show floor counts as aerobic exercise is just delusional.
Here is just a sampling of the many amazing foods we enjoyed.
